APRIL FOOLS!

Watch yourself today.

Here's some of my favorite pranks of all time:
[WORLD]
The BBC television programme Panorama ran a famous hoax in 1957, showing Italians harvesting spaghetti from trees. They had claimed that the despised pest, the spaghetti weevil, had been eradicated. A large number of people contacted the BBC wanting to know how to cultivate their own spaghetti trees. It was, in fact, filmed in St Albans.

[USA]
In 1985, the L.A. Weekly printed an entire page of fake things to do on April Fools' Day, by which hundreds of people were fooled.

The couple that pranks together, stays together.

Hilarious.

Happy fools day, friends.

Old People Pranks

My grandparents are adorable. They are still very much in love and still very much the spoil-my-grandkids grandparents (no matter how old we get). Bryan often tells me that if I turn out exactly like my Grandma, he would be so pleased. They are a wonderful pair and adorable on their own. Here's one example of my sweet Grandpa.

Last night was my sister's birthday party with the family. We skyped in to watch her blow candles, cut the cake and talk about presents. We also got to talk with everyone there (love technology!).

Soon after the skype call, I get a phone call. I answer it. On the other line, a voice says, "Turn that music down! It's too loud." And I just laugh. Because Bryan and I are watching tv together, at a normal, American volume. The voice says, "That party racket has got to stop!" I'm about to say something when the voice says, "Just kidding, it's me, your Grandpa!"

Oh, it would have been such a good prank call - except my cell phone has caller-id. I guess back in the fifties this would have been a killer joke.
