Snow has yet to lose its novelty on me. This morning, I opened the blinds to see a beautiful winter wonderland. Our apartment overlooks a farm and some cute houses, and I remember moving in and thinking to myself, this will look so beautiful covered in snow. My imagination didn't do justice to what it looks like. It's incredible. It's breathtaking. It's more than what I imagined living the North would be like.
Everyone says you have to have a snow day tradition. Some people at work hit the diner before coming in, others make french toast. I make oatmeal and hot chocolate. As a lady who spent eighteen years in Florida, I feel that I can truly appreciate both oatmeal and hot chocolate now that there is snow outside.
