The tornadoes and storms from last night knocked out power in my town, but businesses are back up this morning. Tornadic is becoming the most popular word to describe weather here. People at NSU are gathering supplies for our neighbors in Joplin.
The director of the library and the director of Human Resources were at the secretary's office yesterday watching her pack up her things after being fired at 4pm effective immediately.
Today in my department meeting, I was assigned to do the annual report. To be done in two weeks. I am harnessing my inner Dagny Taggart. Without any heads up, I can still do a good job: inclusive, accurate and finished by June 1. Even with Monday off. Here we go.
