2011: A Year in Review

JANUARY

We celebrated two years at a gorgeous beach resort with delicious food, fancy wine and a cheesy New Years Eve party.

FEBRUARY

We had our first Oklahoma snow. School was cancelled, we stole a kid's sled and we tried to build a snowman (unsuccessfully).

MARCH

We met JU in Chicago for a week of fun and comedy.

We introduced our comedy team to the best comedy in the city.

APRIL

We celebrated five years together, experienced our first major hailstorm, was robbed and I started crying daily due to my job and terrible boss. This is when I first hated Oklahoma.

MAY

I poured my heart into working out, we took a trip to South Carolina to see Brooke graduate, and we got to see our friends.

JUNE

I celebrated my 24th birthday in Philadelphia during Duofest. It was easily the best weekend of the year, and I remember on the plane ride back to Oklahoma thinking, "If this plane crashed and I died, I would die happy." I knew this was a defintiely highlight.

JULY

I quit my library job, and I immediately felt better with the new job, better pay and much better work environment. I took my first work trip and bought myself a new camera with my raise. Insert happiness.

AUGUST

Bryan and I rocked a show in the jazz lab, school started, we had auditions, and we felt the slam of working again. Summer was defintiely over.

SEPTEMBER

Bryan's mom's cancer came back. Stage IV. There's no stage V. Bryan turned thirty. I took a 9 day trip to Vietnam while JU came to hang out with Bryan.

OCTOBER

MTS celebrated 9 years, 10 casts. Ben and Adrienne got married. We made two trips in one month, sat with Bryan's mom as she did her cancer treatments, talked about the future.

NOVEMBER

We saw Colin & Brad in Tulsa, celebrated Thanksgiving in Florida with my family and made some big decisions about the future.

DECEMBER

Finished work for the year, made the long drive to South Carolina for Christmas with the Buckleys, saw friends in Greenville and shared news with the families.
