I spent four days at Disney World, running after my father in law who would find the shortest times for the rides we hadn't ridden yet. It was fabulous, especially the dinners with all nine of us.
We got to geek out with Brooke about Disney and comedy and Clemson. I got a new Clemson sweatshirt! Bryan got more ties and a sweet new cardigan.
I attended four church services with my family. After the one on Christmas morning, my pastor called me into the room behind the altar. I thought I was in trouble, but it turns out he wanted help finishing off the consecrated wine. I followed his request.
My dad pulled me in our annual secret santa and got me clothes - and they are fabulous!
Bryan and I went out to celebrate my friend's birthday and we ran into about twenty people from my high school class. Impromptu reunion!
Each night, we played a board game: Settlers (plus Seafarers and Cities/Knights expansions), Pandemic, Ticket to Ride, Forbidden Island, Dominion, Texas Hold 'Em. Bryan's geekiness has invaded my family, and they loved it.
We bought dinner for my entire family one night, for the first time. It was awesome.
Bryan and I snuck away to the beach to celebrate our two year anniversary. Would you know it, but there was a New Years Eve gala that night which included open bar, dancing, dinner and a champagne toast. It was romantic, mostly the laying in bed on the tenth floor looking out at the beach and the sunset part.
We had a severe delay on our flight back, so we spent nine hours in the airport Sunday. Thankfully, we'd been given games for Christmas, so we whipped them out in the terminal. Little kids were jealous after putting a mustache on Mr. Potato Head for the umpteenth time.
I'm glad to be home. I think I like Oklahoma more after a good break from it, though I would not say that I prefer living in Oklahoma to other places. I just said that I missed it. It and the fact that it's back to just me and Bryan again.
